Hi I’m Chris Cook the Founder of ‘Corringham RunClub’ I have been running for over 10 years, ran multiple marathons and taken on challenges such as running for 24 hours. I absolutely love running and now I help people unlock their full potential 1-2-1 and online

The biggest buzz ever! I set a goal, and for 9 weeks I've ​given it as much as I possibly could! Carrying an injury, ​working double time with the wedding around the ​corner I cannot begin to explain the help ​@chris.runningfit has given me over this period. 6 ​weeks ago I almost decided to drop the time goal and ​just aim to get on the start line. But he wasn't having ​any of it. Chris worked out a way that with the injury we ​could still achieve a sub 1.40 goal and although I was ​apprehensive about it, decided I trust this guy and ​would follow whatever he put in my way until race day! ​Today... we executed! I ran a 1:38:08 half marathon and ​felt unbelievable in doing so! Chris taught me to ​embrace the pain and run with it. Today I did that. He ​installed a positive mindset within me right up to the ​start line. I'm so thankful! And now we move forward, a ​week's break and we go again with new goals!

Well what can I say about Chris...other than he eats, sleeps and ​breathes running, I have to start by saying he is one of the ​most genuine and nice guys I have ever met!

He offered to help me with my marathon preparations, way ​back before the official 16

week training block began. I was unfit and

feeling extremely overwhelmed by the task

ahead but from that first week he was so

supportive. His passion for running is

contagious, but also he has the balance

between support and accountability spot on!

Each week he would check in to see how it was

going, (I often accused him of stalking me on

Strava😂) but not just in terms of the exercise

but also he knew from the start the 'why' I was

doing it too, so I felt like he checked in like a

good friend would too, just to see where my

I found training hard, particularly fitting it in

with work and family life. With a number of set

backs and injuries, there were weeks where I

really did want to throw the towel in, but Chris

was always on hand with another idea to try or

positive spin to put on it.

I have had the absolute pleasure and privilege

of Chris' support for 6months. As much as I

physically got myself to that start line, I don't

think he will ever quite know the significant

part he played in it too. As cliché as it sounds, I

would not have done it without him! He was a

running coach, definitely a counsellor at times🫣

and now a friend.
